Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started with Pet Super Krewe Services?:
The first thing you need to do is complete our new client form.
If you are interested in pet sitting, let us know your travel dates and when you will need visits. For daily dog walk clients, please indicate what days of the week and time you would like your dog walker to come each week. Once we receive your email, we will schedule a Complimentary New Client to Krewe Introduction Visit to meet you and your pets. We will return all calls and emails within 24 hours, Monday – Saturday. You will also need to create a client profile and pet profiles with our industry-leading scheduling software, Time To Pet.
What is a Pet Sitter?
A Pet Sitter is a pet care professional that provides in-home care for your pets. Pet Super Krewe Services contractors must meet our high standards; our Krewe Members come from all walks of life, bringing years of pet care knowledge and experience with them. The commonality shared within our Krewe is the love, care, and devotion for animals. Each Krewe member undergoes a meticulous interview process, to include a thorough background check.
What pets do you care for?
We care for all domestic pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, rabbits, turtles and more.
How do you access my house?
Pet Super Krewe Services does not take possession of client keys. A Krewe Member will access your house using keys stored in a lockbox(a) or using an electronic key(b).
(a) Our contractors use Kingsley lockboxes. They will bring the lockbox to the meet and greet and together you can decide where to keep it outside. The client will not receive the code to the lockbox. No other person will have access to the lockbox. The lockbox is strictly for the contractor to receive access to your home to care for your pets. After you have returned home, the contractor will return your keys and retrieve the lockbox. If you have your own lockbox, we will use yours but we ask that you make sure keys are in the lockbox so we may gain access to your home while you are away.
(b) If the client uses electronic locks, key fobs, and garage code access, keys must be hidden on the property or with neighbors in case of power outages or low battery issues.

How will I know if my Krewe Member showed up?
You will have direct communication with your Krewe Member. You can communicate via the Time-To-Pet Portal. Krewe Members use industry-leading software that notifies you when your specific Krewe Member has arrived to your home; shows visit start and end times; tracks walks and transportation services with GPS. Once the visit is completed, the Krewe Member sends an update, including a visit report card and photos for your review. You can communicate with your PSKS Krewe through the Time-to-Pet Portal throughout each visit and through the duration of your contracted services.
Should I tip my Krewe Member?
Treat our service as you would any other service. Krewe Members are thrilled to receive monetary appreciation for a superior effort. Some clients tip only at Christmas, some a few dollars each visit, some give gifts, or just do nice things for the pet sitter. You can leave a monetary tip directly from your invoice and 100% of that tip goes to your Krewe Member. Nothing is ever expected, but it is certainly appreciated.
How am I billed?
Pet Super Krewe Services accepts all major credit cards and debit cards. You will receive your invoice for scheduled services three (3) days prior to your first day of service. Payment is due on the first day of service for all services on that invoice; however, you may choose to pay partial payments or the total any time before the first day utilizing the portal or app. If we have not received payment by the first day of service, we will automatically charge your card on file. If a client requests to extend service, they guarantee payment at the same rate for all services at the time of requested change. Although not required, if you wish to tip your Krewe Member, you may select the amount when paying your invoice and they receive 100% of that tip.
What is your cancellation policy?
Pet Super Krewe charges for last minute cancelling:

- Next Day: 25% of the cost of the visit
What is your refund / credit policy?
We offer refunds minus any fees that may have been charged due to last minute cancellations. We do not offer credits. We have found that credits can be very confusing and hard to track.
What if there is an emergency and my pet requires medical attention?
In the event of pet illness or another medical emergency and your specified vet is unavailable, your pet will be taken to the Emergency Care Hospital listed in your profile. Our portal also has a required field for an Emergency Contact to let us know who to contact in the event you are not reachable and who will be able to make decisions for you and your pet. We will make every effort to contact you prior to taking your pet anywhere without your preapproval. There is a Vet Notification Card in your profile which you can utilize to let your Vet know that Pet Super Krewe Services will be caring for your pet in your absence.
Pet Sitting Questions
How many visits a day do I need for my pets?
You must decide what is right for you and your pets.
For inside dogs, we do a minimum of two (2) visits per day and as many as five (5) visits per day. Most people request three visits each day. It depends on your pet’s needs and your comfort level.
Outside pets require a minimum of one (1) visit a day. Crated and confined dogs require a minimum of three (3) visits a day, two (2) thirty-minute visits, and one (1) 15-minute visit.
For cats, we do a minimum of one (1) visit, every day.
How many pets are included in your base prices?
All our prices include care for one (1) pet. Additional dogs and cats are $2.00 each and any other pets are $1.00 each. Pet Super Krewe Services never charge extra for administering pills, registration fees, weekend visits, or house-sitting tasks. Our initial New Client to Krewe Introduction visit is always FREE! These factors make our prices the most competitive in the area.
Why is your service better than an independent pet sitter?
Most independent pet services do not offer the reliability, coverage, or security you get when hiring a professional pet sitting company. With Pet Super Krewe Services, you are getting a professional company, excellent customer service, a team of experienced, vetted, and background checked Krewe Members, and peace of mind that we are insured and bonded.
Can you administer medications?
Yes. We administer oral medications, thyroid creams, and ointments. We do charge a $3.00 fee for insulin and allergy injections.
Will the same Krewe Member come to my home for all visits?
Our goal is to have a primary Krewe Member for each client. It’s important to us that each of our Krewe Members develop a relationship with our clients and a bond with their pets. However, if your primary Krewe Member has an emergency or is already booked, we will send a secondary Krewe Member in their place. We are always more than happy to set up another complimentary New Client to Krewe Introduction with the secondary Krewe Member.
Dog Walking Questions
What is the importance of mid-day dog walks?
A well exercised dog is a happy dog and is, therefore, less likely to display destructive behavior in your home. Also, providing a refreshing break during the day can help alleviate separation anxiety and provide a much-needed potty break. If you are gone most of the day, that means your pet is home all alone, and a mid-day walk provides that much-needed attention when you are away.
My dog doesn’t walk well on a leash. Can you leash train him?
We are not dog trainers. However, we can certainly help teach them to walk better on leash using various walking tools (Easy Walk harnesses, treats, Gentle Leaders, etc.) that all provide positive reinforcement training. We’ve found most dogs that are learning to walk properly on a leash do best when on a consistent walking schedule of at least three days a week. Please be sure to communicate any concerns you may have about your dog’s ability to walk on leash to your PSKS Krewe Member.
What time of day will you walk my dog?
We typically will walk dog’s mid-day between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. However, during hot summer months, we recommend all dog breeds that are not heat tolerant be scheduled for shorter 15-minute walks. If you still prefer a 30-minute visit or longer, we will walk your dog until they potty, then play inside with them for the remainder of the visit. Please discuss any requests for specific times or special instructions with your PSKS Krewe Member.
Do you do pack walks?
No. Krewe Members provide individual attention and care to each of our pet clients.
What do you do if it’s raining?
We walk rain or shine! We will not walk if there is a torrential downpour, hail, or dangerous lightning. We don’t want to put your dog or our walkers at risk. We also must take into consideration how your dog feels about walking in the rain. Some love it; others would rather stay indoors. In most cases, heavy storms blow over quickly and our contractors know this and adjust accordingly. Our goal is to ensure we get to your pets and provide superior service.
